THE STORY BEHIND SOUTHFORGE
Built from experience.
Designed for what comes next.
SouthForge Advisory was founded on a simple conviction: organizations should not have to depend on extraordinary effort and individual heroics to achieve consistent performance.
They should be intentionally designed to succeed.
Why SouthForge Exists
Over more than two decades in industrial operations, enterprise HSE, construction, field services, manufacturing, and private-equity-backed growth, I saw the same pattern repeatedly.
Organizations were filled with capable people working hard to deliver results. Yet performance still varied. Problems returned. Acquisitions created complexity. Growth exposed weaknesses. Leaders spent too much time overcoming the same organizational friction.
The issue was rarely a lack of effort.
The systems surrounding the work had not been intentionally designed to produce consistent execution.
SouthForge Advisory was created to address that problem—to help organizations identify and remove the structural constraints that prevent them from executing consistently, scaling effectively, and sustaining performance.
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Caleb Rice
Caleb Rice is the Founder and Principal of SouthForge Advisory LLC, bringing more than 20 years of experience across industrial operations, enterprise HSE, construction, manufacturing, field services, repair operations, operational governance, and business integration.
Before founding SouthForge, Caleb served in enterprise leadership roles at Integrated Power Services, ultimately serving as Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environmental. His responsibilities extended across more than 100 locations, 3,500 employees, 14 regions, three business units, and approximately 6.7 million annual labor hours across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
During a period of significant private-equity-backed expansion, Caleb served as an HSE functional leader within the enterprise Integration Management Office and supported integration work associated with 23 acquisitions and 59 integrated locations. His experience spans businesses ranging from founder-owned industrial companies to major enterprise acquisitions and includes supporting organizational growth from approximately $350 million to $1.35 billion in revenue.
His work has focused on a recurring executive challenge: how to translate strategy, growth, and leadership intent into operating systems that enable people to execute consistently.
SouthForge's perspective is grounded in direct leadership experience across decentralized, multi-site industrial organizations undergoing growth, acquisition, integration, and operational change.

Practical Experience. Disciplined Systems. Sustainable Capability.
SouthForge was not built from a theoretical consulting model. It was built from direct experience leading inside complex industrial organizations—where recommendations must survive operational reality.
The approach is intentionally practical. We examine how leadership, governance, operations, risk, performance, and culture actually work together; identify the Structural Constraints limiting execution; and help organizations build the capability to perform without permanent dependence on consultants or extraordinary intervention.
The objective is not to leave behind more complexity. It is to leave the organization more capable.
